Estimator/Project Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely estimates as well as participating in contract negotiations and contract exchange on successful bids.
  • Respond and direct emergency response requirements as needed
  • Acquire, supplement, and maintain sub contractors as needed
  • Ensure sub contractor and supplier pricing is competitive while maintaining a consistently high standard.
  • Meet project budgets
  • Organize all paperwork associated with each project in a timely and professional manner
  • Prepare and present project schedules to the project stakeholders when required
  • Manage several projects simultaneously
  • Ensure all facets of the project meet governmental regulations
  • Work with management, business development or independently to initiate, build, and maintain client relations.
  • Key player in the after-hours response team and ensures availability in times of high volume or catastrophe requirements.
  • Update and ensure accuracy of weekly & monthly reports

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven success in the industry with a minimum 3-year track record in conjunction with related construction estimating and project management experience
  • Experience in all forms of residential, commercial, and multiple residence dwellings
  • Knowledge in Environmental solutions as they apply to construction applications.
  • Foster Teamwork – Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness
  • Ethics – understand ethical behavior and business practices, and ensure that your own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization
  • Computer Skills - Proficiency in the use of computers for Xactimate, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, the internet, and smartphone applications
