Underwriter I (Alt Risk)

We are looking for a permanent, full-time Underwriter I to join our Alternative Risk and Loss Prevention department in either are Regina or Saskatoon branches. You will be responsible for underwriting moderately complex insurance risks. You will evaluate, rate, and process insurance request. This role is customer focused and looks for ways to improve the customer experience. You will develop and maintain relationships with brokers which contributes to lasting and profitable relationships. You will also provide work review and approval to staff in junior positions.

 

Requirements

Candidates must bring the education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity — after all, we’re counting on you.  We are looking for candidates who have a two-year diploma from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study, such as Business, or defined equivalency. Candidates should have at least 1 years' experience in underwriting. Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
