Underwriting Assistant

We’re looking for an Underwriting Assistant!

SGI CANADA is recruiting a full time, permanent Underwriting Assistant for our Commercial Lines team. This is a great opportunity if you are wanting to learn more about insurance and join a growing organization with a great culture! In this role, you will be responsible for processing insurance policies; reviewing, evaluating and determining insurability for routine renewal insurance applications; and providing administrative support to the underwriting team.

Requirements:

Candidates must bring the education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity — after all, we’re counting on you.  We are looking for candidates who have a certificate in a relevant field of study such Business, with a specialization in insurance and risk management. Candidates should have at least 1-2 years directly related experience – experience in the insurance industry is an asset. Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
