Within this role you will be required to work independently as a broker and need to be an 'income driven' individual who aggressively seeks out new business. We work with a large group of markets in both Personal & Commercial lines of business to provide your new and existing clientele with competitive rates. The ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment is necessary. Some client interaction may be required from time to time. This position is based out of Mississauga and is full-time, commission based.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a book of business ensuring prompt quality service.
Liaise with clients and insurers on a regular basis, responding to inquiries and requests in a timely, professional and upbeat manner.
Analyze client specific risk exposure and make appropriate coverage recommendations.
Process and review endorsements and renewals.
Quote personal lines products for new and existing customers.
Process policy changes on company portals.
Ability to prepare accurate quotes using the Applied Rating Services software.
Connect with insurers and underwriters to discuss and submit risks.
Energized by sales and the sales process.
Go-getter with a positive “Can Do” attitude.
QUALIFICATIONS
RIBO Level 1 License (active & in good standing)
Min. 1 years insurance experience (preferred not required)
Skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Excellent organizational, written & oral communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Able to work independently with minimal supervision yet thrive as part of a team
