Director, Personal Lines Corporate Underwriting

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of personal lines underwriting governance, process, standards, reporting and monitoring across SGI CANADA and regions. 

The Director, Personal Lines Corporate Underwriting will lead a team to research, define and implement best practices and risk appetite for SGI CANADA which will support corporate priorities of operational excellence and sustainable growth while maintaining a global view in the process design, monitoring and governance of underwriting and an integrated view with product management.

Requirements

Candidates must bring a combination of education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity — after all, we’re counting on you.  We are looking for candidates who have a degree in a relevant field of study such as  Business Administration or Commerce, Mathematics & Applied Science or Social Sciences as well as ten years’ experience comprised of six years leadership experience with increasing responsibility and four years’ experience in a technical insurance, statistical, actuarial, or finance position. Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
