The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) is a senior-level, strategic business partner who shares ownership for business strategy, IT strategy and maximizing business value realized through IT investments.  It works to converge functions such as IT, HR, Finance, change management, customer experience, employee experience, and partner experience to deliver on corporate initiatives.

 

They act as a conduit to the business-IT relationship understanding the business needs and working closely with IT leaders to ensure delivery. BRMs enable the services that IT provides by clearly defining new capabilities required to contribute to the business strategy, leverage their knowledge on the business side with technology possibilities in alignment with IT strategies for optimizing the value IT delivers to the business.  They work alongside senior leadership strategically to prioritize initiatives and ensure expected benefits outweigh costs and provide oversight to the end-to-end delivery of new initiatives ensuring benefits realization.

 

Requirements

 

Candidates must bring the education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity.  We are looking for candidates who have a four-year degree from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study such as Information Technology or Business along with a Business Relationship Management certification (CBRM) and a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or a Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation.  Candidates should have at least ten years progressive IT or Insurance business experience and five years’ experience facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects.  Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
