Underwrite new business and endorsements. Review risks for acceptability, reject, endorse, renew or cancel contracts in compliance with company underwriting policies/procedures, applicable laws and regulation.
Communicate decisions and response to requests in a prompt and professional manner.
Collaborate with claims department and make appropriate changes to policies.
Build positive working relationships with internal and external parties of agents and brokers in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
Minimum 3-5 years of insurance related experience.
University degree of college degree is an assist. Completion of CIP or CAIB designation is highly recommended to achieve full potential for the position or working towards same.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingualism is an asset but not a requirement.
Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills. Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and with a Team.
