Personal Lines Insurance Broker

Job Description

Hancock Insurance Brokers is looking to add a hardworking, sales and service driven, general insurance broker to our team.

If you have experience selling personal and/or commercial lines policies to new clientele, as well as providing high quality customer service to a large pool of existing policyholders, Hancock Insurance would like to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Provide quotes and close sales for new property and automobile insurance policies
  • Work with our clients and insurance company underwriters to discuss the coverage best suited for the policyholder’s individual needs
  • Review applications to verify correct coverage before binding
  • Provide superior customer service over the phone, through email, and in person by being able to readily answer questions about the insured’s policy, coverage, deductibles, claims, and premiums
  • Put through policy changes with a high attention to detail
  • Consistently review renewing policies for opportunities to apply new discounts and/or remarket clientele to one of the many companies we partner with

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least one year of customer service experience as a personal and/or commercial lines registered insurance broker in Ontario is preferred
  • A level 1 RIBO license held in good standing
  • Experience using PowerBroker, Applied Rating Services (Compu-Quote), and insurance company portals
  • CAIB, CIP, CRM, and/or relevant post-secondary education in a related discipline is an asset
