Commercial Account Executive

While working closely with Account Managers and Account Assistants, the Account Executive is primarily responsible for a commercial book of business while growing its revenue through lead generation, referrals, and other means. It is expected that the Account Executive is supporting business development activities while upholding high service standards.


Roles and Responsibilities

- Work with an established book of technical, commercial business

- Develop revenue opportunities and cultivate trust with potential customers by networking, cold calling, presenting seminars etc.

- Organize, attend, and actively participate in new business and renewal meetings

- Coordinate with the Marketing department on new and existing business

- Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas (account rounding)

- Work together with your Account Manager to best manage and prioritize accounts receivable, ensuring invoicing is complete in a timely manner, eliminating billing delays

- Enhance your customer service skills working with your clients on day-to-day matters

- Build and maintain ongoing relationships with clients including scheduling and attending meetings and understanding the nature of client’s businesses

- Demonstrate high levels of accuracy and integrity

- Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits

- Collaborate with clients to introduce them with befitting risk management strategies

- Oversee insurance claims to ensure fair dealing and satisfaction

- Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed

- Participate in training and professional development courses to enhance skills and industry knowledge, as well as related insurance products

- Provide quality internal customer service to peers by maintaining relationships, managing expectations and professional communication that is friendly, timely and clear

Qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years Commercial Insurance experience

Must hold a Level 2 General Insurance License

CIP, FCIP Designation considered an asset

Proficient in Microsoft Office
