Insurance Accounting Assistance/Technical Service Representative


Job Summary

We are a Toronto based Insurance Program Management firm that is looking for a skilled Accounting and Technical Assistant for day-to-day insurance accounting and technical services.


Location – Toronto


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Reconcile and record revenue from online programs
  • Reconcile and remit carrier vendor payables
  • Research, track and resolve accounting problems
  • Input data in Lineage portal
  • Reconcile Lineage entries
  • Review, update and reconcile day to day accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
  • Perform other administrative duties – bordereaux reconciliation/review
  • Research projects
  • Data Entry

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with Accounting systems
  • Computer skills – Excel/Word/Outlook
  • Effectively communicate and work well with coworkers
  • Consistency in follow-up with clients and co-workers
  • Effective time management and organization skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Take personal accountability
  • Take initiative and work with minimal supervision

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary education with a Business and/or Accounting focus or equivalent education and experience


  • Insurance industry experience
  • Bilingual (French)
  • Quickbooks Accounting software knowledge
