Insurance Accounting Assistance/Technical Service Representative
Job Summary
We are a Toronto based Insurance Program Management firm that is looking for a skilled Accounting and Technical Assistant for day-to-day insurance accounting and technical services.
Location – Toronto
Responsibilities and Duties
- Reconcile and record revenue from online programs
- Reconcile and remit carrier vendor payables
- Research, track and resolve accounting problems
- Input data in Lineage portal
- Reconcile Lineage entries
- Review, update and reconcile day to day accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
- Perform other administrative duties – bordereaux reconciliation/review
- Research projects
- Data Entry
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience with Accounting systems
- Computer skills – Excel/Word/Outlook
- Effectively communicate and work well with coworkers
- Consistency in follow-up with clients and co-workers
- Effective time management and organization skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Take personal accountability
- Take initiative and work with minimal supervision
Education and Experience
- Post-secondary education with a Business and/or Accounting focus or equivalent education and experience
Assets:
- Insurance industry experience
- Bilingual (French)
- Quickbooks Accounting software knowledge
