Personal Lines Advisor

The Opportunity:  Personal Lines Advisor and Reception

This permanent, full time position requires a bright, talented and customer focused individual with a solid understanding of Personal Lines and Travel Medical insurance products to maintain and grow our existing client portfolio. In addition, you will be the first point of contact and will be in charge of greeting customers in person and over the phone.

Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional, client focused day-to-day service by maintaining and developing comprehensive, customized coverage plans to ensure customer satisfaction and retention

Share expertise as client needs change by analyzing risk exposure, proactively recommending products for optimal coverage and leveraging opportunities to cross sell, as well as researching markets to ensure best price offer for client

Administer renewals, endorsements, changes and cancellations, and provide dedicated support through the claims process

Thorough policy documentation review for accuracy and completeness, addressing any gaps in coverage

Develop and maintain positive and beneficial relationships with partner Underwriters

Manage in-house Travel Medical program

Responsibilities include telephone reception, courier bookings, disbursement of daily mail and some filing

Required:

Strong working knowledge of Personal Lines products and markets (No Auto plan offered)

Minimum Level 1 License in good standing from the Insurance Council of BC

Minimum of 2 years Personal Lines Insurance experience

Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality

Confidence to work independently or collaboratively with an established team

Passion for exceptional, customer focused service

Exacting attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Superior interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Decisive, with strong problem solving skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)

 

Knowledge of EPIC Broker Management System

Experience performing light reception duties
