Are you someone who is able to analyze financial statements and use them to understand the “big picture”?

 

Yes?! You should consider joining our team at SGI CANADA as a Surety Field Underwriter in Alberta. As a field underwriter, you will use your financial analysis, research and analytical skills to evaluate risk for the surety team. A main priority will be business development and new account generation through relationship building with brokers and contractors in the construction industry. You can expect a lot of travel to meet with brokers, contractors, and to participate in industry functions on a regular basis.

 

Requirements

Candidates must bring the education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity — after all, we’re counting on you.  We are looking for candidates who have Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Commerce with a major in accounting or finance and an Associateship in Canadian Surety Bonding (ACSB) designation.  Candidates should have at least 2-3 years of finance or surety underwriting experience in the construction field and account management, marketing and business development experience. Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
