The start date for this appointment is anticipated to be Fall of 2025.

LSU is designated as the Flagship University in the state of Louisiana, has a total enrollment of more than 35,000 students, and is the only public university in the state to be designated a Carnegie Research I University. The LSU College of Engineering has experienced significant enrollment increases in recent years and is located in the 400,000-square-foot Patrick F. Taylor Hall that has recently received a $110 million renovation. LSU is located in Baton Rouge which has a metropolitan-area population of more than 850,000. The university's location, within one of the world's largest petrochemical corridors and in close proximity to the Mississippi River and its dynamic delta, provides significant opportunities for infrastructural, coastal, and environmental engineering research. Current strengths of the department include structures/infrastructures, mechanics of materials, coastal engineering, geotechnical engineering, traffic/transportation engineering, environmental engineering, and groundwater hydrology and hydraulics. Additional information about the department can be found at: https://www.lsu.edu/eng/cee/index.php.
