About You

We are seeking to hire a licensed level 2 Insurance Adjuster with an interest in property loss to join our team. The ideal candidate is a motivated, self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset that is willing to learn and excited to explore an alternative career path outside of their current trajectory.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Adjustment of property claims of moderate to high complexity.
  • Review, interpret, and apply insurance policy wordings to quantify claims.
  • Demonstrate and maintain knowledge and understanding of policy coverages, effectively communicating this information to clients.
  • Provide direction and support to clients throughout the claims process by providing exceptional customer service and guidance.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with insurers and independent adjusters at all times.
  • Coordinate and manage site meetings with contractors, quantity surveyors, and various other entities.
  • Comply with regional regulatory and licensing requirements.
  • Exhibit proficient skills to review repair estimates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Level 2 Adjuster’s License through the Insurance Council of British Columbia.
  • Strong customer service skills, including verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt within fast-paced, changing environments.
  • Good negotiation skills and strong decision-making skills with a willingness to learn and improve. 
  • Knowledge of the insurance coverages and benefits provided by the policy wordings of various and related legislation applicable to property claims.
  • Knowledge of insurance theory and the principles, practices, methods, and techniques related to the adjustment and settlement of claims.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (outlook, excel, etc.).
