Insurance Services Administrator

The MIABC is looking for an energetic, motivated, and career-minded insurance professional to provide administrative and member support to the Insurance Services Department and our local government members. We are a member-owned insurance reciprocal that provides liability coverage to over 170 local governments in British Columbia, and property coverage to over half of our members. 

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Processing certificates of insurance and endorsements;
  • Assisting the Insurance team with the administration of new and renewal policies;
  • Working with the Insurance team to prepare quotes and submit requests for proposals;
  • Entering member information into the Risk Management Information System;
  • Maintaining member’s statement of values; and
  • Maintaining electronic insurance files and renewal lists.

 

Preferred qualifications include:

 

  • Level 1 Insurance License, willing to obtain Level 2;
  • 1 to 3 years of Commercial insurance experience;
  • Working towards an insurance designation (CAIB, CIP or CRM);
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • Superior attention to detail and time management skills.

Status:            Permanent full-time

Pay Range:    $54,000-$67,500 depending on experience.
