Intermediate Adjuster

Are you looking to build your career in the insurance industry? SGI CANADA is currently looking for a permanent, full-time Intermediate Adjuster (Commercial Auto & Cargo). In this role you will investigate, evaluate, and settle moderately complex commercial auto and cargo insurance claims for SGI CANADA (Alberta). You will also collect, review, and analyze claims information to determine vehicle or cargo damage and values; interprets applicable acts, regulations, and policy coverages; and negotiate claims settlements. 

We are looking for a candidate who is customer-focused and look for ways to improve the customer experience. This position is part of the Commercial Auto & Cargo unit and is located at either of our Alberta offices (Edmonton or Calgary) with hybrid remote work options available.

For our Intermediate Adjuster, here are some things we’ll look for:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide technical information, advice or guidance to customers.
  • Two-year diploma from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study such as Business.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a technical insurance role.
