Commercial Corporate Underwriting Specialist (P&C)

Are you an experienced Senior Commercial P&C Underwriter looking for the next step in your career? SGI CANADA is currently searching for a Corporate Underwriting Specialist for Property & Casualty. In this role, you will provide strategy support through research, analysis and recommendations to deliver improvement initiatives (i.e. audit and quality control (QC) frameworks) that have clear, positive and direct impact on portfolio and segment performance in alignment with the Commercial Underwriting strategy.  At SGI we encourage you to challenge status quo, practices and procedures and help identify areas of improvement, including automation.

Requirements

Candidates must bring the education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity — after all, we’re counting on you.  We are looking for candidates who have a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Business or relevant field of study along with a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.  Candidates should have at least 6+ years’ of senior level underwriting experience in Commercial P&C.  Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
